De-cluttering Edgware Road

A survey of road signs and street furniture has been undertaken by Edgware Road Partnership, with the intention of having some redundant traffic signs and street furniture removed.

A number of street signs, telephone boxes and bollards have been identified as possible targets for removal. The Edgware Road Partnership is currently working alongside Transport for London and Westminster City Council to ensure the correct action is taken and no signs are removed which may have an impact on road safety.

The removal of signage and the poles used to display them can increase the quality of the urban realm and improve the pedestrian experience. The Partnership hopes that the on-going removal of street clutter will make the area more attractive for both businesses and customers using Edgware Road.
